S-Handle Ornament. Basket is made of sweetgrass and pine needles bound by strips of palm it can be used as an ornament or to hold small pieces of jewelry. Baskets are handmade and dimensions may vary, approximately 1 1/2” base, height 2 1/2”.
All of the baskets presented here, SweetgrassByDesign, are handmade solely by me. I have been weaving sweetgrass baskets for over 50 years having learned the artistry from my mother. These baskets and the art of weaving sweetgrass baskets represent a rich history. Though each basket is unique whether large or small, round or oval, traditional or non-traditional, they tell the same story. Each piece represents history.
