Charleston Sweetgrass Basket with Single Loop. Basket is made of pine needles and sweetgrass bound by strips of palmetto. This basket can be used to hold candy, snacks, potpourri, or what nots. Approximate dimensions - base 5”, 10” (from loop to opposite side of basket) x 8” (diameter).

I am a third-generation sweetgrass weaver and I’ve been sewing baskets for over 50 years having learned the artistry from my mother. These baskets and the art of weaving sweetgrass baskets represent a rich history.
